Role Summary:
The essential function of a Software Developer is to apply software development principles and practices when creating new concepts, developing prototypes, or testing existing software. You will be implementing software – that you made - for our clients to improve the functionality of their web and mobile solutions.
We are looking for candidates willing to work hard and put in the time and effort it takes to become stellar Software Developers.
Job Functions
- You will deliver, manage, and maintain software products from conception to deployment.
- Provide estimates detailing the amount of time and effort it will require you to complete a project and submit it to your project manager.
- Use your knowledge of programming languages and the tools you are given to analyze and rewrite primitive designs.
- Test the functionality of the software that you have developed before deployment.
- Stay current and fluent in all relevant, emerging technologies.
- Perform other duties as they are assigned (such as peer-to-peer code reviews, project planning sessions, ext.)
- Train other team members on your product as necessary.
Skills - Should-Have
- The ability to learn and retain a decent amount of information in a specified time.
- Should have a strong desire to learn and continue learning new technologies to keep your knowledge fresh and your skills sharp.
- Daily punctuality is a must. Long-term goals such as project deadlines are expected to be met on time unless communicated otherwise.
- You should be capable of being transparent with team members and leaders about issues that may arise throughout the development and deployment process.
Skills - Nice-to-Have (But not required)
- Prior knowledge of the Software Development Lifecycle.
- Any prior knowledge of coding languages, databases, or frameworks.
